   Group Projects

Level Designer, Heart and Core | Team of 17 | Unreal Engine 5         Jan - Aug 2023

​

  • Redesigned and rescripted major set pieces to address playtest feedback without requiring new asset creation.

  • Revised previously incongruous mechanics to create a unique minute-long encounter with articulated cranes and conveyors.

  • Designed and revised a time-sensitive sequence of six micro-encounters spread across several floors of a building, playable within two minutes.

  • Prototyped a three-minute boss fight within a rotating cylindrical arena that expanded existing mechanics to serve as the climax of the game’s plot.

 

Level Designer, Project Dark | Team of 8 | Unity                                   Jan – April 2023

  • Collaborated with subject matter experts from the USAF 338th Training Squadron to convert broad learning goals into three interactive puzzle rooms.

  • Implemented feedback from subject matter experts to scale-down puzzles to fit within art and programming scope.

  • White boxed and set-dressed three puzzle room environments while extensively kit bashing asset packs to surpass client expectations while minimizing artist overhead.

   Solo Projects

MGS: The Code | Unreal Engine 5                                                    April 2023 – Present

​

  • Developed an open ‘outpost’ style level with stealth-action gameplay mechanics based on Metal Gear Solid V.

  • Created metrics taken from ingame measurements to match building scale and enemy visual and hearing ranges.

  • Blueprinted a system to recover enemy bodies and intelligence from the environment.

 

Factory Reset | Unreal Engine 4                                                                          April 2022

​

  • Iterated puzzle design with two rounds of external playtesting, resulting in an 8-minute standalone puzzle game.

  • Designed three sets of physics-based puzzles with the goal of quickly teaching, testing, and building two distinct sets of player mechanics.
